Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the first session?
Your first psychology session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand what brings you to therapy. We will review the consent form, obtain relevant background information, identify some goals and I will explain the therapy process.
There’s no pressure to “dive in” deeply right away. The pace is guided by your comfort. The first session is about building trust and setting a foundation for future work together.
Are you offering face-to-face sessions? How will the sessions occur?
Currently, I am only taking sessions via telehealth. However, I will be seeing clients face to face in the near future. A telehealth link will be sent to you prior to the appointment.
How long is each session?

The sessions will be 50 minutes long. The session length is standard across the mental health profession.
What is the cancellation policy?
Sessions cancelled within 24 hours incur a 100% cancellation fee.
How do I send you any relevant documents?
Please upload any relevant documents as per the service required under the Enquires and Bookings tab.
Can I book a session under Victim Services for the same day?

Please advise your approval number (starting with 004 as per the letter you received). Once requested this can take upto a week to be approved by Victim Services.
