About
Professional Background
Hi, I am Meghna Datta is a Registered Psychologist with a background in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of mental health and community settings. My experience spans both government and private sectors, including working in child protection, corrective services, disability services, and therapeutic support roles.
My practice is grounded in neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and person-centred approaches. I work with neurodivergent individuals and value creating safe, validating spaces where people feel understood and supported.
My counselling style varies depending on the needs of the individual, as there isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” method. Therapeutically, I draw upon evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based techniques—always adapting to suit each person's unique needs and goals.
I aim to support clients in developing insight, building resilience, and working towards meaningful change. It is YOUR session, hence my approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on meeting people where they are in their journey.
I work across all ages so feel free so drop me an enquiry to know if I am the right fit for you.
Please see the Services section for the services I currently provide.
